Volunteers
Volunteers are needed at Kapco Park on game days. If you or your group is interested in volunteering please email the Chinooks office at hr@lakeshorechinooks.com.
Internships
The Lakeshore Chinooks are dedicated to fostering the development and education of college students in the area through internships in the front office and at Kapco Park.
Internships are available in these areas:
Ticket Sales Intern - 2013 Season - This is a non-paid, for-credit position.
An entry-level position providing hands-on experience in collegiate baseball ticket sales. Must be a current student (undergraduate or graduate), eligible to receive college credit for internship. Requires ability to work flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Comfortable interacting with all levels within the organization as well as outside contacts. Strong time management and attention to details. Outgoing and creative personalities preferred, with a willingness and desire to have fun. Must have experience with Microsoft Office products. This is a non-paid, for-credit position.
Office duties will include entering data and customer information into online ticketing system; cold-calling local businesses and organizations regarding group sales and outings; coordination and logistics of group outings; general sales, including single game tickets, 6-packs and group tickets; ticket and mail fulfillment; preparing will-call tickets for game days; providing customer service via phone and email; attending various community events as a representative of the team. Stadium Box Office duties will include selling walk-up single game tickets; assisting with will-call tickets for customers; taking game tickets at stadium entrance; liaison to season ticket holders, groups and sponsors at the stadium. Will assist with the set-up and clean-up of all events held at Kapco Park. Will also assist others within the organization when needed. All other duties as assigned.

Gameday Webcast Intern - 2013 Season - This is a non-paid, for-credit position.
Lakeshore ChinooksLakeshore Chinooks internships are unpaid and part time, beginning with training sessions at the Chinooks front office beginning in April 2013. Interns will work with the Webcast Consultant learning to use the equipment and learning to produce a live webcast. Interns will practice “go live” using the equipment prior to the Chinooks season begins.
In May, interns will help the set-up of the equipment at Kapco Park, home of the Lakeshore Chinooks, in Mequon, WI. this will allow the interns to practice on-site. Once the season begins, interns will be required to attend and work all 35 home games. Each intern will be assigned a duty on the webcast crew and will be an important part of each game’s webcast.
Our internship are encouraged for those seeking college credits towards majors in Mass Communications, Radio, TV or Film.
Game Day Webcast Interns will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Learning how to operate webcast equipment (cameras, switchers, audio & sound equipment
- Learning the terminology to understand instruction from Webcast Director
- Learning how to work as part of a crew to produce a live product
- Maintain a professional manner at Kapco Park as a representative of the
Requirements:
· Must be an undergraduate enrolled in Mass Communications, Radio, TV or Film Program
· Must be available for “spring training” on several Saturdays in April & May (dates TBD)
· Must be available for all 35 home games (June – August 2013)
· Must be eligible for college credits
